Fulfilling the Great Commission to Make Disciples.

Calvary Christian Academy exists to encourage students in their relationship with Christ and equip them to follow the Lord’s commission in Matthew 28:19 to
“Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Discipleship empowers spiritual formation by modeling, instructing, guiding, and nurturing others to develop a deep, personal relationship with Jesus through your own speech, actions, and attitudes.
Students have opportunities to experience God through age-appropriate and Bible-based activities, such as chapel and local outreach opportunities for grades Pre-K - 11, and spiritual retreats and missions trips for our Secondary students.

WEEKLY CHAPELS

From Pre-K through 11th grade, weekly chapel services are a significant part of a CCA student’s spiritual growth. Students gather for corporate worship, to study the Word, and to apply Biblical truths to their lives on a level that relates to them. Messages are taught by school staff, Calvary PSL pastors, and various other ministry leaders. Testimonies, student-led worship, and intercessory prayer are typical components of chapel services.

CLASS RETREATS

Secondary students have an opportunity to take part in annual spiritual retreats. During these events, students participate in personal and team-building activities, which foster spiritual growth and understanding, and promote class unity. Starting in 9th grade, students go off property for a multi-day event in the Fall.

OUTREACH

Outreach opportunities are designed to help students learn the gift of service and empower them to put their faith into action. Students take part in these opportunities through their small group, Bible class, and Leadership Training class. It is always exciting to see the blessing they experience when they get out of their comfort zone and help someone in Jesus' name! Examples of particular outreach activities might include volunteering at shelters, evangelism trips, serving and feeding the poor, drives for local/international ministries, etc.

Spiritual Formation does not just happen automatically but requires the initiative of both God and of individuals (2 Peter 1:3-8). Our ACSI accreditation crafts and facilitates Spiritual Formation tools, resources, events, and conversations to equip our CCA staff and educators to grow in LOVE & TRUTH, foster COMMUNITY, engage in DISCIPLESHIP, serve as Christ's AMBASSADORS, and pursue Christlike UNITY.
