In the second post of our Partnered for a Purpose series, we’re honored to share the story of Adrienne and Deron Harris, CCA parents whose journey to Calvary Christian Academy was shaped by prayer, timing, and a deep desire for connection.
When the Harris family prepared to relocate to Port St. Lucie, they began researching schools in the area. Like many parents, they considered multiple options. But everything changed when they discovered Calvary Christian Academy.
“There’s a Calvary in Port St. Lucie?” Adrienne recalls with excitement. What stood out immediately wasn’t just the school; it was also the connection to the church community. In fact, Calvary was the first church they visited in the area, and ultimately the last one they felt they needed to try. As they describe it, it was more than a coincidence. It was timing.
From their very first interactions with CCA, Adrienne and Deron noticed something different.
“They go above and beyond to know your kids,” they shared.

Adrienne speaks honestly about the emotions many parents feel when entrusting their children to a school, especially the anxiety that can come with letting go. “From the moment you decide your child’s going to go here, they show the care and the love and the concern,” Adrienne explains. “They really try to calm that nervousness, make you feel comfortable, and let you know everything’s going to be fine.”
That reassurance, rooted in genuine relationships, has created a foundation of trust and peace for the Harris family. They’ve experienced firsthand that CCA isn’t just focused on academics; it’s committed to knowing each child personally, partnering faithfully with parents, and building a community grounded in Christ’s love.
