About CCA
Immersing all students in a Biblical Worldview.
A word from our Head of School
Calvary Christian Academy began as a dream, became a calling, and, by God’s kindness, has proven to be an answered prayer. Today, CCA is a vibrant ministry of Calvary PSL. We are not an independent institution with a generic mission. We are an extension of a church family that believes Jesus still changes lives and that discipleship must be intentional, faithful, and rooted in Scripture.
CCA is a covenant Christian school that partners with like-minded parents in the development of their children. Our aim is not only academic growth, but spiritual formation and character development under a Biblical worldview. Students are encouraged to think deeply, lead faithfully, and serve boldly, preparing them to engage the world with conviction, compassion, and wisdom.
Our educators and staff are born-again believers, caring and credentialed, committed to excellence and to the daily work of shepherding hearts as well as training minds. Our facility is state-of-the-art, and our learning environments are designed to be safe, structured, and encouraging. The CCA community reaches beyond our parent ministry, serving families throughout our region while remaining anchored to the local church that birthed it.
Calvary PSL seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ as found in the Great Commission:
Our church is committed to the principles of connecting, growing, and investing. Calvary Christian Academy, as a ministry of Calvary PSL, has been formed and dedicated to those principles. Because our school offers an excellent education within a Biblical worldview, we can confidently say that our mission is to teach students to be like Jesus as we develop tomorrow’s leaders for Christ.

At Calvary Christian Academy, we believe that shaping a student’s intellect is only part of the story—true education also forms the heart. In partnership with families, we build both disciples and scholars: students who are confident in their faith, competent in their knowledge, and committed to serving others
Developing the Next Generation of Leaders for Christ.
Calvary Christian Academy was conceived to create a new type of school community on the Treasure Coast.
While our mission is to provide an excellent education within a Biblical worldview, what that actually looks like is a synthesis between the science of educating the whole student and a framework that is Biblical and Christ-centered. CCA is a covenant, Christ-centered, college preparatory, private Christian school which educates students in an atmosphere of strong academics, quality sports, fine arts, and spiritual accountability in a traditional preschool through twelfth-grade setting, Monday through Friday.
Our History
Leaders of Calvary Port Saint Lucie decided not long after the church was formed in 2004 that God wanted them to step out in faith and begin praying and planning for a school that would be Christ-centered and would offer families with diverse learners an opportunity to be educated according to their unique learning styles by degreed and credentialed educators trained to teach children and inspire learners at different levels of achievement. Calvary Christian Academy is a traditional school that treats learners uniquely and includes parents as partners in the learning process.
Standards of Ethical Conduct
Our primary concern is our students and the development of the students’ potential. Employees will therefore strive for professional growth and will seek to exercise the best professional judgment and integrity.

Eliza Dowdy
Preschool Principal
Eliza Dowdy serves as Preschool Principal at Calvary Christian Academy and is currently in her third year at CCA. She brings extensive experience in early childhood education, including work with children from infancy through early elementary years, as well as administrative leadership experience.
Eliza is passionate about partnering with families during the earliest stages of a child’s education. “My calling in Christian education is rooted in cultivating a Christ centered experience for families, where the whole child is developed.” She and her husband have been married for twelve years, and they have three children who attend CCA.
Amber Tague, ED.D.
Secondary Assistant Principal
Amber Tague serves as Secondary Assistant Principal at Calvary Christian Academy and is in her fifth year at CCA. Prior to joining CCA, she spent 11 years in education, teaching across a wide range of grade levels and subjects, including both upper elementary and secondary courses.
Amber describes her path into Christian education as one shaped by God’s direction. “My calling in Christian education is to prepare the next generation to thrive in a world that often does not recognize God, yet deeply needs His truth, love, and redemption.” Amber does not have children of her own at CCA, but she has three nieces and nephews who attend, with another expected to join. Outside of her role at CCA, Amber enjoys spending time with her German Shepherd, Charlie, and her cat, Leo.
Arielle Bickley

Over the years, she has served in multiple roles at CCA, including second grade teacher, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Assistant Principal. Prior to CCA, Arielle taught kindergarten through third grade in Martin and Palm Beach Counties.
Arielle views education as a responsibility that extends far beyond academics. “Teaching is not simply the transfer of knowledge, but the stewardship of influence, and with that comes a sacred responsibility.” Her husband serves as a principal in a local public school, and they have two children who attend CCA.
Our Mission: Teaching students to be like Jesus.
Calvary Christian Academy exists to create and maintain, for you, our parent partner, a Christ-centered educational environment that provides a strong education within a Biblical worldview. As a ministry of Calvary PSL, the Great Commission is at the heart of all we do as a fellowship of believers committed to quality Christian education.
In a world where academic achievement can come at the expense of spiritual formation, CCA offers a better way. Here, students are known by name, taught by educators who view their work as ministry, and encouraged to grow into the men and women God has called them to be. Our classrooms are grounded in biblical truth, our standards reflect excellence, and our culture nurtures purpose – so students learn to think deeply, lead faithfully, and serve boldly.
What We Believe
Our Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
