Admissions and enrollment
How do I apply for enrollment?
Families can apply online through our admissions portal. Once your application is submitted, our Admissions team will contact you to walk through the next steps.
Is there a deadline for applications?
Applications are accepted year-round. Because space is limited, we encourage families to apply as early as possible. Enrollment for the upcoming school year typically opens in early February.
Do you offer school tours?
Yes. We offer regular campus tours throughout the year. To join a tour, please submit an inquiry form and our team will connect with you.
What documents are required for enrollment?
Students will need a birth certificate, immunization records, and any academic records from previous schools. Additional documents may be requested based on grade level or student needs.
Is there an application or registration fee?
Yes. A small application fee is required to process your child’s file.
Are church membership or regular church attendance required for admission?
No. While we are a Christ-centered school committed to Biblical truth, families do not have to be members of Calvary PSL or any church to apply.
What is the age or kindergarten cut-off date?
Students entering kindergarten must turn five by the state-required cut-off date for Florida.
Do you accept transfer students mid-year?
Yes, space permitting. Our Admissions team will review your student’s records and coordinate placement.
Do you have a waiting pool, and how does it work?
If a grade is full, students are placed in a wait pool. Families must reapply each year because the wait pool does not roll over.
What is the typical class size or student-teacher ratio?
Class sizes vary by grade level, but we intentionally keep our ratios small to ensure personal attention and strong relationships.
What scholarships does the school accept?
We accept Step Up for Students scholarships, including Florida Tax Credit, FES-EO, FES-UA, Hope, and Folds of Honor.
How do I know which scholarship my student qualifies for?
Step Up for Students determines eligibility. Families apply through the Step Up portal and will receive notification directly from the state.
Does your school accept ESE students?
Acceptance is determined on an individual basis. We review all documentation, including IEPs, 504 plans, and private educational evaluations, to ensure we are able to fully support each student’s needs.

We use a combination of high-quality Christian curriculum and resources, aligned with a Biblical worldview and Florida standards.
Do you offer honors, advanced, AP, or dual enrollment classes?
Yes. Secondary students have access to honors courses, AP classes, and dual enrollment partnerships for advanced academic pathways.
How often do students receive progress reports or report cards?
Elementary and secondary students receive quarterly report cards. Progress updates are available through our online portal.
What standardized testing or assessments do students take?
We use nationally normed assessments, including the i-Ready Diagnostic administered three times a year, to track academic growth and guide instructional decisions.
What academic support services are available for students with learning differences?
Support varies by student need. Our team reviews documentation and communicates with families to determine the best plan for success.
How is the Christian worldview integrated into classroom instruction?
Biblical truth is woven into every subject through discussion, application, and character formation.
What is the homework policy?
Homework expectations vary by grade level.
School Hours and Attendance
What time does the school day begin and end?
Elementary runs from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Secondary runs from 8:10 AM to 3:10 PM.
Are there before-care or after-care programs available?
Yes. Morning care begins at 6:45 AM, and aftercare runs until 5:30 PM for an additional fee.
How do I report a student's absence?
Please call the school office to notify us of any absences.
What is the policy for early dismissal or late arrival?
Parents must sign students in or out through the main office. A reason for late arrival or early dismissal is required.
What are the procedures for checking students in or out during the school day?
All parents and visitors must check in through our secure entry system before picking up or dropping off students during school hours.
Uniforms and Dress Code
Where do I purchase uniforms?
Uniforms are purchased online through our provider, ShockSocks, at www.shocksocks.com.
Are uniforms required every day?
Yes. Full uniforms are required Monday through Friday unless otherwise noted.
Are Spirit Days or dress-down days offered?
Yes. Students may wear their Spirit Shirt on Fridays with approved attire.
What are the hair, piercings, and grooming expectations?
Expectations vary by grade level and are outlined in our School Handbook.
Lunch and Transportation
Does the school provide hot lunch?
Hot lunch can be purchased through Ordo. Orders must be placed by the Friday prior to each week.
Can students bring their own lunch?
Yes. Students may bring lunch from home.
Is bus transportation offered?
We do not provide regular bus routes. School buses are used for field trips and school events.
How do field trip transportation and permissions work?
Parents will receive permission forms and details in advance of each trip.
Safety and Security
What safety measures does the school have in place?
Our campus has armed professional security, controlled entry points, regular safety drills, and trained staff.
Are all faculty and staff background-checked and vetted?
Yes. All employees undergo background screening and training before working with students.
How does the school handle emergencies or lockdowns?
We follow a detailed emergency operations plan that includes lockdown, weather, medical, and evacuation procedures.
What is the visitor check-in procedure on campus?
All guests must present identification, sign in through our secure system, and wear a visitor badge on campus.

How will I receive school updates and announcements?
We communicate through ParentSquare, email updates, weekly newsletters, and social media.
How do parents contact teachers or request meetings?
Teachers can be contacted through ParentSquare or email. Conferences can be scheduled as needed.
How does the school communicate grades, assignments, and behavior updates?
Families use our online portal to view grades, assignments, and classroom updates
How often are parent-teacher conferences offered?
We schedule conferences during the year and meet with parents anytime a concern or question arises.
Student Life and Activities
What extracurricular activities, clubs, or sports are available?
We offer athletics, fine arts, clubs, and leadership opportunities for all grade levels.
What fine arts opportunities are offered?
Students can participate in drama, visual arts, and seasonal productions. Choir and Band coming in 2026-27.
Are there leadership, service, or mission opportunities for students?
Yes. Students participate in service projects, chapels, and leadership programs.
Do students attend chapel or Bible classes?
Yes. Chapel and Bible classes are part of our core spiritual formation program.
What technology or device policies does the school have?
Technology use is monitored to ensure safety and responsibility. Policies vary by grade.
What is the policy for cell phones and personal devices?
Secondary students may bring phones but must follow school guidelines. Elementary students should not have phones during the day.
Financial and Tuition
What is the yearly tuition?

What fees should families expect throughout the year?
There may be activity fees, athletic fees, or class-specific fees depending on the program.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Monthly payment plans are available.
How does scholarship funding affect tuition billing?
Scholarship amounts are applied once confirmed by Step Up for Students.
Does the school offer discounts for multiple children?
A sibling discount is applied beginning with the 3rd child enrolled in grades K-12
health and wellness
What immunizations or medical forms are required?
Students must follow Florida’s CDC-based immunization schedule and have both a current Florida Certificate of Immunization (Form DH680) and a Florida Student Health Examination (Form DH3040) on file to remain enrolled.
What immunization options are available for families who choose not to vaccinate?
Families may enroll with an approved exemption, which can be a Temporary Medical Exemption or Permanent Medical Exemption documented on Form DH680, or a Religious Exemption issued by the Florida Department of Health on Form DH681.
Does the school have a nurse or health office?
Yes. The school has a clinic that is staffed by a licensed Registered Nurse.
How are medications handled during the school day?
Medications are only given at school with a physician-signed Annual Authorization to Dispense Medication form, and all medication must be brought in by a parent in its original labeled container. Students may not carry medication themselves (except approved emergency medication like inhalers or EpiPens).
What is the policy for illness, fever, or return-to-school guidelines?
Children should stay home if they’ve had a fever of 100.4°F or higher or other symptoms like coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, or a rash within the past 24 hours, and they may return once symptoms have resolved; if they were seen by a doctor, a note stating when they may return is requested.
What is the protocol for injuries on campus?
If a student is injured on campus, the nurse will assess the injury, call parents for any urgent concerns, and send a Medical Event Notice by email with details of the visit.
Miscellaneous
What is the re-enrollment process each year?
Re-enrollment opens each winter for current families. Early re-enrollment helps secure your child’s spot.
Does the school accept international students?
At this time, international enrollment is limited. Please contact Admissions for details.
What holidays and breaks follow the school calendar?
Our calendar aligns closely with the local district while honoring Christian holidays and special events.
How does the school handle weather closures?
We follow local emergency management guidance and will notify families through ParentSquare.
What is the policy on lost and found items?
Lost items are placed in our Lost and Found area. Unclaimed items are donated periodically.
Are parents allowed to volunteer on campus, and how do they get approved?
Yes. All volunteers must complete a background check and follow school guidelines.
